Megan Reilly is a PhD student in Film and Media Studies at UCSB. Her areas of interest include media industries, platforms, and data privacy. Within these zones, she has studied the emergence and industrial framing of streaming media services and their digital infrastructures, notions of quality in contemporary television production, and the participatory affordances of location-based surveillance technologies. She received her BA in Cinema Studies and English from the University of Pennsylvania and her MA in Cinema and Media Studies from the University of Southern California.
Megan will be working with Professor Michael Curtin in the area of Media and Globalization.
